Calendar of Events
CYS schedules four required annual performances — a fall concert, a holiday concert, a spring concert, and an end of season tea and concert (the only ticketed performance). Members may also play in community opportunities throughout the season.
Fall Concert - Treasures
Our fall concert’s theme is “Treasures” and is bursting with the music of the high seas. Follow us on Facebook for details.
Holiday Concert (Date TBA)
Concert date will be announced at the start of the season. Check back soon or follow us on Facebook.
Spring Concert (Date TBA)
Concert date will be announced at the start of the season. Check back soon or follow us on Facebook.
End-of-Season Tea & Concert (Date TBA)
The only ticketed performance of the season — an afternoon tea with the symphony. Date announced in spring.
Venue & Accessibility
CYS does not own a venue. Concert performances are presented at the Surrburg/Prentice Auditorium on the Laramie County Community College campus (1400 East College Drive, Cheyenne, WY). Rehearsals take place in Room 139 of the Fine Arts Building.
LCCC has a written accessibility plan that contains all the accessibility requirements of the ADA. For the patrons of CYS this includes easy access into the performance hall and special seating for handicapped people. The Administrative Assistant is prepared to assist any individuals with special needs.
Access: Patrons may be dropped off at the curb on the North side of the auditorium in front of the main entrance doors. A ramp leads to another set of doors facing East which allows handicapped people to enter easily.
Restrooms: located at the front of the auditorium between the two entrances.
